McDonald's nutrition questions

Where do these McDonald’s nutrition numbers come from?

The US full-menu page identifies each item. Its public itemDetails service supplies the displayed, per-item nutrition panel. Each row links to the official US product page.

Why is a meal marked Officially unpublished?

The captured official item response has no fixed four-field panel for that listing. Meal choices can vary. Select individual products with complete official panels to calculate an order.

Does the calculator include every drink size?

It includes the specific item IDs linked by the national full-menu page at retrieval. Names preserve the returned serving size. It does not infer unlisted sizes by multiplication.

Are the numbers per 100 grams?

No. The table uses the listed-item panel. Per-100-gram values from the official response are not used for order totals.

Can I remove cheese or change a sauce?

This page adds published standard servings. It does not estimate the nutrition of an unsupported customization or rebuild an item from its ingredient panels.

Do order examples include a drink?

Only the items named in the example are counted. Drinks, sauce packets and other extras are excluded unless they appear as a separate linked item.

Is the source checked date a recipe update date?

No. It is the date we retrieved the official information. We do not claim that McDonald’s changed every recipe on that day.

Does a lower-calorie item make a complete meal?

Not by itself. A small side and a sandwich serve different purposes. Compare the exact serving and all four nutrients rather than treating calorie rank as a health rating.
